::: talk & performance @ LOM field recording meetup 2026 :::

i was invited by LOM to come to bratislava and give a talk on the history and strategy of framework radio, as well as one of my field recording “listening salons”, a sort of performative, sound-heavy, participatory discussion and sound session.  from the LOM website:

full day dedicated to the art of listening and field recording — from nature recording techniques and acoustic ecology to the global community of found sound. Sharing experiences, four lectures, a panel discussion, and an evening listening salon with artists from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, and Estonia.

LOM microphones will be available on site for testing and purchase, along with raw field recording releases from the LOM FIELDS edition. Ticket price includes all lectures + non-alcoholic drinks, coffee, and vegan food (snacks, lunch and dinner).
